Risepoint was proud to have our RISE learning framework accepted to ASCILITE 2025 (Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education), the premier conference for teaching and learning innovation in Australasia. Senior Learning Designers Heather Hotaling and Emma Knight represented the team, showcasing our evidence-informed approach to building online learning that is rigorous, purposeful, and industry-aligned. This recognition confirms the sector’s acknowledgment of our pedagogical leadership.
The RISE learning framework gives academics and designers a clear, research-grounded method to create online courses with precise alignment between learning outcomes, assessment, and activities. It distinguishes passive from active learning, separates tasks from tools, and embeds four modes of formative feedback – peer, teacher, automated, and self-reflective – ensuring students receive timely, meaningful guidance.

Early implementation has resolved common design challenges such as content overload, weak application opportunities, and misaligned tools. Partners benefit from a shared pedagogical language, enhanced design clarity, and reduced academic workload. Students engage in structured, applied learning that builds confidence, competence, and real-world capability.
This work exemplifies our authority in digital pedagogy. Our frameworks, expertise, and design leadership enable universities to deliver scalable, high-impact, student-centred online learning that genuinely prepares graduates for the workforce.
